With several parking and trail access areas in Dennis, bicycling is one of Cape Cod’s most popular outdoor activities, and as such, the “Cape Cod Rail Trail” immediately comes to mind! A former railroad line, converted to an awesome 35 mile bike trail winding through marshes, wooded areas, and with some ocean views! For the extreme bikers, you can bike from Bourn to Provincetown; a 64 mile trek you're going to love!  

Connected to Nantucket Sound via The Bass River.   The pond is known for its recreational opportunities, including swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and water-skiing. It is also a popular destination for boating, fishing, and      exploring the surrounding natural environment. 

Dennis, MA, offers several historical activities, including visits to the Jericho Historical Center, which showcases 19th-century life, and the Josiah Dennis Manse Museum, highlighting early town life and maritime artifacts. Additionally, the Congregational Church of South Dennis features historical significance with its oldest working organ and connections to local sea captains. 

For those times, when you venture off Cape, Dennis provides some of the easiest and immediate access to Route 6, the Mid Cape highway.
